Added 3rd November, listed via the Members' Newsletter page and temporarily via the What's New page, Donnington and Birkenhead pictures.

NB - This post will be deleted after November, as will the links from the What's New page, leaving just the Member's Newsletter listing for the links to these galleries.

Hm, Bob,

any particular reason why the members only section now tops the forum (at least on my layout (set to default)). Possibly to persuade guests to become members? However, I preferred it the old way round. Maybe time for a poll?

There is a reason, hopefully only temporary.

It is to do with the location of the recommendation to use Firefox. In addition to the news fader currently carrying this advice it also appears in the text of the top box both when logged in and when viewing as a guest. The two top boxes do not appear together for any viewers other than myself which is why the advice needs to be carried twice. If the old layout were retained logged in members would be half way down the forum before seeing the Firefox advice (other than by reading the news fader).

The advice has been posted because Internet Explorer was failing to display the signal icons and some other images earlier today. The matter has righted itself recently and if it continues to work overnight I'll set the layout back to how it was but, for now, it stays as it is.

PS - Nothing at all to do with coaxing guests to become members - Guests cannot see the members only sections. ;)

No preference either way here, I'm afraid... I usually just go straight to the "100 most recent Posts" button anyway... ;D

Hi Bob.

I have just passed the Merseyside photos link to a member of the Merseyside MRS on RMweb, I've also given him the email address to request larger copies if he can use them for the MMRS site. The info was by PM not a public post so I hope that's OK?

That's OK. I've still got the original sized files if they want any copies for their site.
