Received by email. The message is self explanatory but I would point out that there is a clash of dates with Romiley where the OO modules are booked to appear.
If anyone not involved with Romiley would like to take a layout please reply via this thread.
The trust have requested narrow gauge themes, I would have offered the FCPyF if it were not for the clash and the On30 modules will not be ready by September.

Our partners at the adjacent Apedale Heritage centre will be able to offer underground mines tours during the weekend.
The Apedale site is slowly developing & it is hoped that some of the visiting classic vehicles will be able to be seen in action.
In addition to welcoming entries of classic/vintage vehicles (forms on our website), we are also keen to add some model railways to our display. I appreciate that this is now short notice – but is there anything that the Cheshire Railway Modellers (or its members) may be able to provide please? It would be even better if there was a narrow gauge theme to the layouts. We currently have a 16mm scale running track, couple of 009 layouts & a 1/35th scale WW1 narrow gauge layout confirmed.
Would it also be possible to list this event in your events calendar on-line please?

i'll be visiting on the sunday with dominic and my dad, i did think about offering my layout when i heard about it a few weeks back on their website (after picking up a flier in trident trains) but decided against it being as its a narrow gauge railway and as they pointed out they would prefer ng layouts.
to be honest i'd never heard of the apedale railway until i picked up the flier and i'm quite looking forward to visiting on the sunday, looks an interesting site, who knows maybe next year i could visit with my 1:1 scale quarry hunslet?

As a trustee I will be on site both days so come and say hello.
If you can't make the open weekend there is always someone on site on Saturdays from 10am and casual visitors are welcome.

I'll be at Romiley show with the OO modules on the Saturday but hope to make it to the open day on the Sunday.
Maybe we could bring the narrow gauge (On30) modules if the event is to be repeated next year?

Dates for Open weekend 2010 will probably be 18-19 September.
I will confirm as soon as the dates have been confirmed and I think the modules would be more than welcome.
If Jim want's to bring his 1:1 scale quarry hunslet it will look good alongside the port class hunslet one of our members is currently restoring.

had a great day on sunday alan, absolutly cracking little set up, i think my dad was surprised by just how much has been achieved in such a small amount of time, the wheels are in motion for us to take "alice" there next year (once the overhaul is completed)
